The results of the study of ruminations processes’ features at cows of fi rst lactation are given. It was revealed that in the equal footing and feeding conditions of cows of Holstein breed it is dominated the duration of the chewing cows of Ukrainian black and white and red and white dairy breeds. This, in turn, is refl ected at the level of the average yield.
