The article presents the results of the influence of foliar fertilization with microfertilizers “Ecolist monozinc”, “Rostock corn”, plant growth regulator “Vympel” and bacterial “Biomag” on the leaf surface area in corn hybrids of different ripening groups. The results of the studies showed a significant influence of the factors studied on the area of the assimilation surface of the maize hybrids under study. In different years of research, under different weather and climate conditions, the magnitude of the influence of factors has changed. So in 2012, especially when sowing medium and medium-ripened maize hybrids due to moisture deficiency, a decrease in the area of the leaf surface was noted compared with 2011 and 2013. It was established that the use of hybrids for sowing later periods of maturation had prolonged the duration of the growing season, which also contributed to an increase in the area of the leaf surface. Therefore, hybrids of the medium-ripening group (36.4-42.1 thousand m2/ha) had the largest area of the leaf surface. It is reported that hybrids DKS 2971 and Kharkov 195 MV (early ripening group), DKS 3871, DKS 3472 and Pereyaslavsky 230CB (mid-range group), as well as hybrids of the middle-ripened group DK 391 and DKS 4964, were identified in the area of the leaf surface among the study ripening groups. When carrying out foliar nutrition, the area of the leaf surface increased by 0.6-5.6 thousand m2/ha, compared with the control (without feeding). As a result of the studies, the greatest value of the total area of the leaf surface (28.9-41.9 thousand m2/ha) was identified in the variants where two-time processing by the micro-fertilizer “Ecoleist monozinc” into phase 5-7 and 10-12 leaves of corn plants. This increase in the area of the assimilative surface of the leaves, compared with the control, was 2.4-5.0 thousand m2/ha.

Key words: corn, hybrid, ripeness group, processing of leaf surface, microfertilizers, growth stimulant, bacterial preparation, grain, leaf surface area.
