Input information has to comply accuracy, relevance, reliability and completeness requirements for an adequate functioning of any accounting and monitoring system. A large number of methods and ways of three-dimensional information collecting caused the need for their systematization. Methodical approaches were grouped by the disciplines that learn and develop them. Four groups of methods were singled out: geodetic, photogrammetric, remote sensing and geophysical. Then existing methods, their types and subtypes were characterized within each group, their pros and cons were identified. As a result of research, there was built hierarchal system of methodical approaches to receiving of three-dimensional information about water objects. Analyses of methodical approaches made demonstrates effectiveness of each approach in comparison with result of their application.
During systematization, some issues were disclosed: laws and material resources of works executors are outdated; industrial standards for three-dimensional information need to be established; application of methodical approaches for execution of various works has to be optimized. There was suggested to create some catalog of methods and technologies of works execution in geodesy, land management, resources accounting and monitoring at the state level. Since the task of development of cadastral classifiers, data bases, regulatory and technical documents on geodesy, cartography and geoinformation systems is laid on the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, creating and maintaining of such a catalog of technologies and recommendations to their industrial implementation can be delegated just to this organization.
